The first night we used this sleep system, both of us slept great! What’s best about it is that you can set the timer and it gradually fades out when the time is up, so as not to awaken you with an abrupt stop. I received a sleep mask with this product, and was surprised at how much better I slept with complete darkness.

This sleep-aid is great, because you get a wide choice of sounds. We have one in our bedroom, and our 11-year old has one, too. It really helps him to sleep when he’s had a full day.

Who am I to disagree…with scientific sleep studies? I have bought numerous ‘lull you to sleep’ CDs, none of which give me the fulfillment of rest in the morning as the Tranquil Moments Sleep Sound Machine does.

I like my uHarmony chair enough that I bought a second one for my sister and family. I use it several times a day, every day, so it is worth the price to me.

Before having the chair, I needed to go to the chiropractor about every 2 to 3 weeks. Since I have had the chair, I have not been back to the chiropractor. By using the chair at least once and sometimes twice each day, it loosens the muscles up so they do not pull the vertebra out of alignment. Sometimes I get stiff during the night so I climb into the chair a few minutes before I go to work.

Use each evening after a stressful workday for an hour.
Use 1/2 hour before bed, relaxes the muscles enough to put one right to sleep.

We bought this massage chair to help my wife heal from a neck/back injury. She spends up to (and sometimes over) an hour each day in the chair. Madoff Victim Law School Dean on SEC Negligence – Failure to Investigate

The Rights Radio Power Hour features Madoff victim Lawrence Velvel, dean, Massachusetts School of Law at Andover, on SEC neglect and failure to investigate. Show Date: April 22, 2009 at 5:00 pm EST

A Massachusetts law school dean that lost money invested with swindler Bernard Madoff contends the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) was “willfully, horribly negligent” in failing to monitor his operation.

Now the federal judge overseeing the criminal case against Bernard Madoff has ordered the seizure of Madoff’s assets, making it impossible for victims to take action against those assets.

Lawrence Velvel, dean of the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover, said, “The SEC’s incredible willful negligence” to not seriously investigate Madoff’s operations despite repeated red flags and written warnings of his criminality probably makes the agency liable to legal action by aggrieved investors. The SEC, he said, “has no discretion—none—to fail to follow up, with serious investigations, when presented with knowledgeable, detailed, obviously highly competent, and in many respects easily ‘checkable’ allegations of…a huge fraud that is fooling thousands of people, stealing billions of dollars, and causing horrible injustice.”

Equally bad, says Velvel, the SEC was responsible for a lot of people being sucked into Madoff in the first place, because in 1992 it publicly announced that there was no fraud.

Referring to the preponderant majority of Madoff’s victims, Velvel said, “These are not the billionaires, or the huge institutions, that could hire expensive experts in due diligence…These are the plain people who worked hard and saved all their lives, as capitalism says they should, and who…depended on their government to protect them…but were failed by it because of one of the most willfully negligent, incompetent, and perhaps even complicitous courses of action any agency has ever engaged in.”

Lawrence R. Velvel is an honors graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. He has been a government lawyer, a lawyer in private practice, and a law professor. He is the author of a book on the Viet Nam War and civil disobedience, and of many law review and newspaper articles, including humor pieces written under a pseudonym. He recently wrote a quartet called Thine Alabaster Cities Gleam, comprised of: Misfits In America; Trail of Tears; The Hopes and Fears of Future Years: Loss and Creation; and The Hopes and Fears of Future Years: Defeat and Victory. Velvel blogs at velvelonnationalaffairs.com. His blog postings have been published in Blogs From the Liberal Standpoint: 2004-2005 and An Enemy of the People.

In 1988 he was one of the founders, and from inception has been the Dean, of the Massachusetts School of Law (MSL), a school which has introduced extensive reforms into legal education and which especially focuses on providing legal education to the working class, mid-life people, minorities and immigrants. He is the editor-in-chief of, and writes the introductions for, a journal of serious thought called The Long Term View, which is published by MSL. He is also the host of an hour-long television book review show, called Books Our Time, which is produced by MSL and seen throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic states.

The periodic table element 115 was released to the public by Robert Lazar, who claims that element 115 is the fuel for interstellar spacecraft. The converted dune buggy went 50 MPH, had a range per charge of 50 miles and cost about $2,500 to make. “That car taught me that, just because an expert says it can’t be done, doesn’t mean it’s true.”

Florida Condo Owners Association Rights Legislation

Topic: 2008 Florida legislation further protects condo owner association rights – Changes to Florida Condo Act FS 718 herald enhanced association safeguards for condo dwellers. Show date: July 2, 2008.

The State of Florida passed legislation in 2008 that further protects condo owner rights. Our featured guest spearheaded this legislation. He’s at the forefront of the homeowner rights consumer reform movement in Florida, including “drawing-board” legislation that will protect the rights of homeowners associations HOA members.

Guest : Honorable Julio Robaina was the first Hispanic elected commissioner of the City of South Miami and the first Hispanic Mayor of the City of South Miami. Under his stewardship, the City of South Miami was named one of the top ten cities in the United States in 2001 and received the honor of being named “All-America City” by the National Civic League amongst approximately 600 cities and counties that compete yearly.

Representative Robaina was elected to serve District 117 of the Florida House of Representatives on November 5, 2002. During the legislative term of 2002-2004, he was assigned chair of the Select Committee on Condominium Association Governance, and vice chair of Local Government & Veterans Affairs. He served on several committees including: Business Regulation, Health Care, Transportation, Select Committee on Florida’s Economic Future, Select Committee to Protect Private Property Rights and the Subcommittee on Energy. The Representative also served as the Vice Chair of the Miami-Dade Legislative Delegation in 2005.

He is currently serving on the following committees: Health Quality, Government Efficiency & Accountability Council and serves as Chair of Urban & Local Affairs. He also is currently serving as the Chairman of the Select Committee on Condominium and Homeowner’s Association Governance.
